We have looked at our Wedding pictures a thousand times already and every time they bring a smile to our face. Lucy managed to capture the whole day perfectly including all the little details are that made the day so special. We gave Lucy a huge list of shots that we wanted and on the day she managed to complete the whole list. Between us we have a lot of brother and sisters so we know that this was not an easy task. The wedding day was in 2 parts at 2 venues and Lucy shot at both places giving us a whole range of backgrounds. The photos were edited well and we love the black and white versions. One of our favourite photos is shot on the beach next to a banged up caravan – it looks very retro. Lucy blended in with our guest well and no one felt intimidated by her camera or presence. If we need a photographer in the future Lucy will be the first person we would call.

Wow! Thank you so much for the wonderful job you did taking beautiful photos of our day. They were all outstanding pictures and everyone has said how amazing they are! Even when the weather decided to mess around you managed to take some fantastic shots of us. We are so grateful for the little moments you captured that would of otherwise been lost forever, the little moments we would have missed. We love the ones of our guests they all look like they had an amazing day. The mothers of the baby’s you took photos of were also very happy, those memories they will keep forever. We chose Lucy Bateman as our wedding photographer after we'd seen pictures of other wedding she had photographed. The pictures looked happy and relaxed yet still captured moment perfectly, and that's exactly what we wanted. We didn't want to stand around being posed for hours on end but wanted natural shots of our special day. Lucy was amazing. She captured every moment perfectly without being in the way or making anyone feel uncomfortable. The pictures we have are exactly what we wanted. They reflect us and the way we felt that day. We knew from the start Lucy would capture everything exactly the way we wanted and we weren't disappointed.

Hi Lucy, it was great to have you photograph our wedding day, the planning for us was quite late in the day so thank you for accommodating that. So how did the journey begin, well I created a short list of candidates, you drew top on that list on the count you shoot full frame, you provide the source digital images (key in my book, other photographers are not so keen) and your time/pricing model could not have been simpler to follow. Key for any business transaction is to keep admin to a minimum and concentrate on the product and that is exactly what you did. The pictures are great and we are impressed how you got the right colour balance in there under some of the lighting areas. An added bonus for us was that you fitted into our group really well.

When I contacted Lucy Bateman, she was always speedy with her responses, friendly and very approachable. The style of photography that she offered was exactly what we were after and we were delighted when she agreed to do a pre-wedding photo shoot in Folkestone so that we could meet before the big day. We both thought Lucy was a lovely warm person and immediately felt comfortable in her presence and it was easy to relax in front of the camera. The photos that we received so soon after the shoot were amazing and both family and friends commented on the quality of them. Pete and I were blown away by her attention to detail, such as what time of day was best to capture the photos, for the best light possible. The pre-wedding meet left us feeling very relaxed about the outcome of the wedding photos.
On the day of the wedding Lucy was punctual and professional. Throughout the day Lucy helped us to relax and one of our favourite moments from the day is when it was just Pete and I alone having our photos done in the courtyard of the Old Palace. Lucy made us feel so at ease that it was literally as if we were alone and she was just capturing us in the most natural way possible. Several guests commented on how friendly and polite Lucy was and she really did fit in as though she was just one of the guests, subtly capturing people laughing and joking together. Receiving our photos so soon after the wedding made us so excited and we were blown away and very impressed with the quality of the photos.
